Trial Lessons/Gift Vouchers
Whether you are attracted to the prospect of becoming a pilot or would simply like to surprise somebody with a fantastic gift, then why not consider booking one of our trial lessons.
After arrival at the airfield you will be given a pre-flight briefing. This usually takes place at the helicopter so that our CAA approved instructor can point out the main components and explain how the aircraft works. Then it's time to get strapped in for lift off!
When airborne and at a safe height, you will be introduced one by one to the three main helicopter controls, which are the cyclic, collective and pedals, before trying all three at once. After having a go at climbing, descending and banking it's back to the Airfield for a spot of what helicopters do best - hovering.
At the end of your flight you will receive a certificate signed by your instructor. The flight can be recorded and can go towards the requirements for a Private Pilot Licence.
Please note that family members are very welcome to come along to Sandtoft Aerodrome where we have excellent catering facilities and areas for viewing and photography.
We provide a selection of trial flights as detailed below and are able to offer a variety of flight routes which you can discuss on the day of your flight with the instructor.

Gift Vouchers are available and will be dispatched by first class post as soon as your details have been received. Bookings can be taken for a specific date or left open as the voucher is valid for 6 months after purchase. Booking details are included in the gift voucher pack. Vouchers are transferable by arrangement.
